Gangster’s Men Confront Police During Raid

Two SHOs from Patna have been suspended following allegations that supporters of the infamous Sonu-Monu gang forced policemen frisking and checking before entering into the house during the  raid in Narang Jalalpur. Videos of the incident were widely shared over social media platforms and generated public backlash. In light of these reports, SSP Kartikeya K Sharma issued disciplinary actions against the SHOs responsible for supervising the police raid.

The issue started from an incident on Saturday night in Naranga Jalalpur village which comes under Panchmahala police station jurisdiction. The crime happened when according to the , a criminal from the notorious Sonu Monu gang opened fire on Mukesh Singh, who was the husband of the sarpanch of the village and chairman of the PACS.

According to the findings of the investigation, apparently, the entire incident took place as a result of Mukesh Singh’s posting on the internet regarding the police raid carried out in the area recently. Apparently, Mukesh posted the comment on the social media site, praising  action in the area and supporting stringent law enforcement against criminals. He reportedly said, “The rule of law will hold sway and everyone knows who will remain standing.” According to officials, the comments infuriated a local advocate named Pramod Singh, who was the father of the accused individuals, Sonu and Monu. As per the statements made by Ram Krishna, Pramod Singh apparently cornered Mukesh Singh regarding the comments posted by him on the social networking website.

The shocking incident triggered massive outrage online after videos showed policemen being checked by gangster supporters during the raid. Many people questioned police authority and security procedures, while officials later launched disciplinary action against officers responsible for supervising the controversial operation in the village.

According to the allegations, the scenario turned out to be very tense and heated, after which it is said that Sonu came to the location along with some people. As per the complaints made, it was said that Sonu and another friend by the name of Saurav allegedly fired gunshots at Mukesh Singh. It was reported that during the process, two rounds were discharged causing chaos in the area. Mukesh Singh then went on to file an FIR with the help of the  naming Sonu and Monu and others involved in the firing incident. The moment the FIR was filed, teams of police rushed to make an arrest of all those named. By the time they reached the place where Sonu and Monu lived, the two were nowhere to be found as they had absconded from the house.Videos of the police raid confrontation were widely shared on social media platforms and generated public backlash.

While the police squad was trying to carry out the process, members of the family as well as the followers of Sonu and Monu had allegedly refused to let the officers enter their house until they underwent physical examination. Prior to entering the house, the police squad was asked to undergo physical examination by the people at the premises. Video clips pertaining to the incident soon started appearing on social media sites, with the video clips capturing the officers of the police standing in line while being examined physically. After the incident, several raid and search operations have been carried out by the police in order to find Sonu and Monu, who are notorious for their rivalry against the gang headed by Anant Singh.
